Louise Fenbury makes her house and role debut at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden as Sharon in the world premiere of Søren Nils Eichberg’s contemporary opera Oryx & Crake, conducted by Albert Horne and directed by Daniela Kerck.
The production premieres on 1 March 2023.

CONCERT AT KLOSTER EBERBACH

 

Under the direction of Hans Härle, Louise Fenbury appeared in concert at Kloster Eberbach, performing Bizet’s “Habanera” and Lehár’s “Meine Lippen, sie küssen so heiß.” Her performances were met with a standing ovation from a full house.

Louise Fenbury appeared as Lola in scenes from Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana in an open-air farewell concert at Schloss Erbes-Büdesheim. In an unexpected and theatrically effective interpretation, the role of Lola was portrayed as pregnant, adding a distinctive dramatic dimension to the performance.

Louise Fenbury appears alongside internationally acclaimed Russian soprano Olga Romanko in a Bel Canto Gala Concert presented by Opera Classica Europa at the Alte Oper Frankfurt, one of Germany’s most prestigious concert venues, on 6 October 2019.

 

The concert features the Festival Orchestra of Opera Classica Europa under the direction of Hans-Friedrich Härle, performing arias and duets from the Italian operatic repertoire, including works by Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, Verdi and Puccini

On 7 June, Louise Fenbury presents a Schumann Salon at Club 99 in Frankfurt, curated in collaboration with Kammeroper Frankfurt e.V. and marking the eve of Robert Schumann’s birthday.

 

Accompanied by Stanislav Rosenberg (piano) and Tobias Rüger (saxophone), she performs Schumann’s Frauenliebe und Leben in an intimate salon setting, with elements of experimental interpretation.

ÜBERICH + MICH

Louise Fenbury appeared in Rainer Pudenz’s music-theatre work ÜBERICH + MICH, a contemporary production engaging with political and social themes through a wide-ranging musical collage.

 

Critics praised both her dramatic presence and vocal colour. The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung wrote that Fenbury’s “velvety mezzo comes fully into its own”, while the Frankfurter Neue Presse highlighted her “richly indulgent performance as a coloratura Rosina in mezzo-soprano register” in Rossini’s Una voce poco fa.

ÜBERICH + MICH | Kammeroper Frankfurt

Louise Fenbury begins rehearsals with the Kammeroper Frankfurt for the spring production ÜBERICH + MICH, with the premiere on 24 March 2017 at the Weihehalle der Unitarischen Freien Religionsgemeinde, Frankfurt am Main.

 

The music-theatre work explores themes of integrity, loyalty and social responsibility, drawing on music and texts by composers and writers including Schubert, Bellini, Mozart, Verdi, Händel, Heine and Kreisler.

NEW YEAR’S CONCERT | PERTH CONCERT HALL

 

Louise Fenbury welcomed the New Year with a gala concert at the Perth Concert Hall, performing to an audience of almost 2,000 guests in the presence of the Governor of Western Australia, Her Excellency Kerry Sanderson AC.


The appearance marked her first return to Australia in three years and was met with enthusiastic acclaim following her solo performances.

Following its success in Wiesbaden earlier in the year, the song recital Opera Divina was also warmly received in Frankfurt. The performances attracted strong media attention across the Rhine–Main region and were met with enthusiastic audience response, including prolonged applause at both concerts.

Following its successful premiere in Wiesbaden, Louise Fenbury continues the recital programme Opera Divina, appearing alongside Julia Cramer in performances on 10 and 17 September in Frankfurt am Main.


They are accompanied by pianist Igor Palmov.

 

Opera Divina presents a journey through operatic and music-theatre repertoire, featuring works by composers including Mozart, Bellini, Bizet, Wagner, as well as selections from Porter and Piaf. The programme is supported by the Kammeroper Frankfurt.

CALLAS, NATÜRLICH! | KAMMEROPER FRANKFURT

 

Louise Fenbury appears in the Kammeroper Frankfurt production Callas, natürlich!, a music-theatre work curated by Rainer Pudenz and dedicated to the repertoire of opera legend Maria Callas.
The production was presented in April at the Weihehalle der Unitarischen Freien Religionsgemeinde, Frankfurt am Main, with performances across ten evenings. The premiere took place on 9 April.

The concert series Opera Divina premiered at the Oranier-Gedächtniskirche in Wiesbaden, presenting a 90-minute programme of celebrated operatic arias alongside popular songs and chansons.

Louise Fenbury opened the 2016 season of the Schlosshotel Kronberg, performing arias and songs at a gala event attended by members of the press. Her programme evoked the atmosphere of the 19th century in the historic setting of the former royal residence.

 

The Schlosshotel Kronberg is one of Europe’s most exclusive luxury hotels and was formerly the residence of Crown Princess Victoria of Great Britain.
